Kingsbarn Capital & Development (“Kingsbarn”) is a full-service, “turn-key,” real estate development firm. Our highly-experienced management team has a significant track record in office, industrial, medical, retail, and multifamily projects, as well as homebuilding, land development, and entitlements. Kingsbarn Capital & Development is a subsidiary of Kingsbarn Realty Capital, an issuer of private placement real estate securities which has acquired over $500M of healthcare and office properties throughout the United States.
Kingsbarn works relentlessly to build value into every project we undertake. Our strategic partnerships enhance our ability to design and build projects that meet our stringent criteria for quality and budget containment while allowing us to meet and exceed the objectives of our clients.
We oversee the development process from the perspective of an owner. Whenever we contemplate the deployment of investment capital, we carefully consider the risks and rewards of the project and do an in-depth feasibility analysis prior to committing to move forward. Additionally, we act as the construction manager for each of our projects which allows us to be hands-on through the entire development process. We believe that development is a highly collaborative process and it is our mission to assemble the strongest team possible to accomplish the best results for our clients and partners.

Kingsbarn's management team has effectively managed many large developments over the years, including project schedules, cost, quality, safety, scope and functionality, and adept at overseeing complex projects from the pre-development stages to project completion, including cost estimating, scheduling, construction control, site inspections, and site personnel management.
Asset & Portfolio Management
Currently, Kingsbarn has approximately $500 million of assets under management. We provide our investors and partners with monthly operating reports and year-end tax reporting. We routinely provide cost segregation studies for our investments in order to take full advantage of available tax shields. We consistently audit property operating expenses and capital budgets and pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional relationships with our tenants.

Meet the Development Team

Jeff Pori  |  CEO

Jeff Pori is a real estate entrepreneur, investor and developer. Jeff’s comprehensive 30-year career in commercial real estate includes construction and development, syndication, finance, brokerage, and asset management. Jeff has excelled in creating tax-advantaged, syndicated real estate offerings that are income-driven and possess solid real estate fundamentals. As a principal in a publicly traded construction and development company, Jeff was integral to the construction and development of 125 commercial and multi-family properties and more than 1,000 single family homes. Additionally, Jeff held the primary responsibility for the oversight and management of a portfolio of more than 2,000 apartment units, most of which were developed utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and 30 commercial properties that encompassed over 2,000,000 sq. ft. of retail centers, office parks and industrial facilities.


Philip Mader  |  President

As Chief Investment Officer of Kingsbarn and President of Kingsbarn Capital & Development, Phil brings over 30-years of experience in real estate development, investment management, acquisitions, multifamily development, homebuilding, land development and urban planning. Philip Mader has deep experience as an investor, developer and operator for prominent international and domestic private equity, homebuilding and multifamily firms. Phil has held executive positions at BlackRock, Taylor Woodrow Homes, Prometheus Real Estate Group, and Essex Property Trust. As a former Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager for BlackRock, the world’s largest investment management firm, Phil led and managed the Residential Fund of $250+ Million and the firm’s U.S. Land and Housing Strategy. Under his management, it achieved the highest returns of BlackRock’s closed-ended, full-cycle, real estate funds. Phil has a proven business acumen focused on leadership, business and investment analysis and strategy, and execution. He has directed the overall development of 37 single family and multifamily communities, spread across 7,000+ lots, homes, condominiums and apartments, valued at over $2 billion.


Ray Jones  |  General Counsel

Mr. Jones serves as General Counsel for Kingsbarn, with primary oversight over all legal matters. As General Counsel, Ray brings over 18 years’ experience engaged in a sophisticated commercial real estate and finance practice advising both lenders and developers regarding acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, commercial leasing, and title and entitlement issues involving retail, office, industrial, condominium, condominium-hotel, special-use, residential and mixed-use properties, as well as master-planned communities. In addition, Ray has advised clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, business structuring, and crossborder transactions.


Anthony Hama  |  VP Development

Anthony Hama is a 25-year veteran of the real estate industry with significant experience negotiating, structuring and closing of complex transactions. He currently serves as Vice President of Kingsbarn Capital and Development where he is actively engaged in the company’s ground-up development and infill redevelopment projects. Prior to joining Kingsbarn, Anthony founded Marquis Development, a private development company focused on retail shopping center development. Since its formation in 2015, Marquis has completed 250,000 square feet of high quality, corporate net leased retail assets in the southwest. Anthony started his real estate career in the banking industry where he was an analyst at Smith Barney working on several REIT IPO’s in the early 90’s. He later joined the real estate investment-banking group at Banc of America Securities in San Francisco where he was involved in numerous capital raising and M&A assignments. Anthony received his BA in Economics from UCLA in 1992 and his MBA from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University in 1999.


Craig Perry  |  VP Quality Control Assurance

Experienced since 1978 with carpentry, project management and the business practices and operations of General Contractors, Subcontractors and Construction Managers. Performed the tasks of estimating, scheduling and project supervision as both a General Contractor and Construction Manager in both new commercial and residential projects as well as post-litigation condominium reconstruction. Pre-construction estimating and scheduling for multi-million dollar condominium projects, as well as managing the staff required to construct $80 million in condominium projects. Construction Management/Owner’s Representative services on over $500 million in construction and Fixtures, Furnishings and Equipment.


James Frager  |  VP Construction

Experienced since 1987 with project management and the business practices and operations of General Contractors, Subcontractors and Construction Managers. Jim performed the tasks of estimating, scheduling and project supervision as both an Owner-Builder, General Contractor and Construction Manager in both new commercial and residential projects. He was the Executive Vice President of Business Development for one of Southern California’s largest mechanical subcontractors. Jim has experience with preconstruction estimating and scheduling for multi-million dollar projects, as well as management of the staff required to construct $400 million in multi-family projects. In addition, Jim provided Construction Management/Owner’s Representative services on over $500 million in construction and Fixtures, Furnishings and Equipment.
